Obituary of Carmon Cole

Carmon Cole, age 89, a resident of Mansfield Addition Philippi passed away Saturday July 26, 2014 at her residence. She was born April 18, 1925 in Doddridge Co. a daughter of the late Roy and Lillie (Haddox) Cole. Carmon in survived by several nieces and nephews. Ms. Cole was the last surviving member of her immediate family have been preceded in death by infant sister Dollie Cole, sisters, Clara Jo Thrasher, Betty Metz Boyer, Luella Ann Steerman, brothers, Robert “Bobby” Cole, Roy Junior Cole. She worked at First National Bank and Bank One and retired after 50 years of service. Carmon was an active member of the Mansfield United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #41. She loved spending time with friends and family and her favorite dog Marley. She enjoyed tending to her flowers, sewing, reading and especially the Sunday Comics, and watching WVU sports. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday July 30, from 3-8 pm. The O.E.S Chapter #41 will conduct services at 7 pm. Visitation will resume on Thursday July 31, from 8 am – 2 pm the service hour with Rev. Linda Payton officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Hospice 1002 S. Crim Avenue Belington, WV 26250. Thursday July 31, 2014, 2 pm at Wright Funeral Home Click for Map and Directions
