Mary V. DeMoss, age 93, a resident of Mansfield Place Philippi, passed away Thursday December 18, 2014. She was born May 11, 1921 in Randolph Co. a daughter of the late Kite Auvil. She was twice married first to James Correll Kelley, and second to Richard DeMoss both whom preceded her in death. Surviving are, Two daughters, Jane Rickard of Philippi Mary Ann Bartell and husband Jay of Arizona Several Grandchildren Mary was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by five siblings, and one daughter Suetta Cretchko. Mary was a homemaker, she was a member of the Clarksburg Women’s Club, and she volunteered at the local hospital, and enjoyed doing charity work. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday December 20, from 9- 11 am the service hour with Rev. Tim Bleigh officiating. Interment will follow in the Bridgeport Cemetery.
