Barbara Jeanne Fridley age 73 a resident of Stewarts Run Rd. passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015 in the United Hospital Center. She was born August 17, 1941 in Martinsburg, WV a Herman J. and Dorothy Virginia (Murphy) Whitacre. She was united in marriage February 8, 1958 to Blaine Fridley who survives. Also surviving their children, Karin L. Wilt and husband Mark, Lost Creek Kathy Channell and husband Randy, Philippi Kerry Fridley and wife Beth, Sissonsville Kyle Fridley and wife Betty, West Milford Kelly Rager and husband Joe, Buckhannon 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren Mrs. Fridley was preceded in by one sister, Joyce Leonard She was a telephone operator C&P Telephone Company She enjoyed crafts, singing in the church choir, spending time with her family and shopping. Mrs. Fridley was a member of the Elk City United Methodist Church and served as a past Treasurer. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday, March 28, from 3-8 pm and on Sunday, March 29, from 8am-2pm the service hour with Rev. Bill Coffindaffer officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
