Samantha Ketchem Muncy, age 27, a resident of Rt. 4 Philippi, passed away Saturday September 14, 2013 in Ruby Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. She was born September 9, 1986 in Clarksburg, WV a daughter of Albert A. and Susan M. (McDaniel) Ketchem. Samantha was united in marriage on June 18, 2011 to J. Trent Muncy who survives in Philippi. Also surviving is; One sister, Rachael M. Ketchem of Philippi Paternal Grandmother, Mary L. Ketchem of Union Community Philippi Maternal Grandparents, Fred and Nancy McDaniel of Philippi Father-in-law, Charles Sam Muncy of Philippi Mother-in-law, Sherry L. Muncy of Arlington, VA Two brothers-in-laws and sister-in-law; Tristan Muncy and wife Megan and children of Orlando, FL Troy Muncy of San Diego, CA Loving dogs Allie and Reney Several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins Samantha was preceded in death by one sister Kristen Leigh Ketchem, and Grandfather Marvin F. “Bud” Ketchem. Samantha was attending the WV Osteopathic School of Medicine where she was involved with several clubs and organizations with the school. She was a member of the Union Church of Christ. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday September 18, from 1-8 pm and on Thursday September 19, from 8- 11 am the service hour with Rev. John Lepp and Evangelist R.D. Ice officiating. Interment will follow in the Mary’s Chapel Cemetery.
