Barbara E. Spotloe, age 79, a resident of Mansfield Place and a former resident of Rt. 4 Philippi passed away Thursday November 17, 2011 in Mansfield Place. She was born August 31, 1932 in Barbour County she was reared by Shorty and Ruby Haddix. She was united in marriage in 1979 to Michael Spotloe Jr. who preceded her in death on April 13, 2009 Surviving is; one son: John Ward II and wife Sabrina of Philippi One sister: Virginia Till and husband Robert of Bonita Springs, FL Two brothers: Earl Haddix and Betty of Millboro Springs, VA Guy Haddix and wife Linda of Stoney Point, NC Two grandchildren: Jamie (Ward) Davis and husband Rob of Martinsburg, WV, Jason Ward and wife Tori of Belington Four great grandchildren: Emily Davis, JT, Noah and Jorjalynn Ward Barbara was preceded in death by one daughter: Vicki Lynn Ward, one brother: Ralph Haddix, one sister: Edith Carman. She worked for Broaddus Hospital as a Operating Room Technician. She was a member of the Philippi United Methodist Church. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday November 19, from 5-8 pm and on Sunday November 20, from 8 am -2 pm the service hour with Rev. Tim Bleigh officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
