Nelda Grace Wentz, age 99, a resident of Philippi, WV passed away Tuesday December 13, 2011 in the Hospice Care Facility in Elkins. She was born March 23, 1912 in Barbour County a daughter of the late Marshall C. and Elizabeth (Heltzel) Henry. Nelda married Glenn Wentz in 1932 and was married 64 years at the time of his passing in 1996. Surviving are: Two sons: Glenn Wentz Jr. and wife Gloria William Wentz and wife Edith both of Philippi Two granddaughters: Sherree Wentz and Stephanie (Wentz) Richards and husband Joseph Two grandsons: Jeffrey Wentz and Brian Wentz One great grandson: Drew Russell Richards One great granddaughter: Jenna One brother: Ralph Henry of California One dog: Blue Nelda was preceded in death by one son: James Russell Wentz, one grandson, three brothers, and three sisters Mrs. Wentz was a homemaker and a faithful and dedicated member of the Elk City United Methodist Church for more than 70 years. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday December 15, from 4-8 pm and on Friday December 16, from 8 am -3 pm the service hour with Pastor Howard Swick officiating.
