Neva Arlene Lanham, age 99 a resident of Heritage Nursing Home in Bridgeport and a former resident of Philippi passed away Wednesday February 8, 2012. She was born October 14, 1912 in Upshur Co. a daughter of the late Job L. and Icy (Nutter) Karickhoff. She was united in marriage in 1946 to Okey Harold Lanham who preceded her in death on March 4, 1994. Surviving is: One sister: Wilma Jean Lanham of Buckhannon, WV One niece: Cheryl Hoffman of Buckhannon, WV One nephew: John P. Smith and wife Alice of Fredrick, MD Mrs. Lanham was preceded in death by one sister: Freda Smith of Kingwood, WV, One brother: SGT. Clifton Karickhoff, a casualty of WWII, and great nephew Richard Chris Hoffman. In earlier years Neva worked for the Barbour County Assessor's office, was a nurse at Myers Clinic, and was also a homemaker. She loved baking for her friends and family.
