Uncle Elmer was such an amazing man. He was extremely kind and such a hard worker! I have some of the fondest memories of visiting him. I loved all of the animals and chasing the ponies. I used to beg Granny (Ada) and Grandad (Dorsey Campbell) to take me to see him. It has been many years since I have been to Philippi, but Uncle Elmer has always held a special place in my heart. He will be dearly missed. Sending my love to the family.
Uncle Elmer was very special to our family. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. He loved animals and shared this love with his nieces and nephews. We have a picture of Sonia visiting Uncle Elmer and Aunt Myrtle when she was about 4 years old she was hugging one of Uncle Elmer's young ponies. He will always hold a special place in our hearts.
