Matthew Vaughn Lake age 46 a resident of S. Walnut St. Philippi lost his two year battle with cancer on Thursday, April 18, 2013. He was born March 24, 1967 in Philippi a son of Cecil L. and Freda (Wagner) Lake who survive. Also surviving is: One daughter, Jessica D. Barb, Belington One son, Jamie M. Lake, Philippi Two sisters, Cecilia L. Lake and companion Phil Haller Sunny Lake, both of Philippi Two grandchildren, Orion D. Barb and Caley Holmes Two special nephews, Jeremy and Jason Lake Two nieces, Cyndi Mayle and Suzanne Hollen Two great-neices, Avah and Taylor One great-nephew, Brodie Matthew enjoyed photography, camping and attending Bridge Day Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 6-8 pm and on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 8 am-2 pm the service hour with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Entombment will be in the Bryan Memorial Mausoleum at Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
