Loraine Frayer, age 82, a resident of Philippi, passed away Monday February 17, 2020 in the United Hospital Center. Loraine was born January 10, 1938 in Port Austin, MI, a daughter of the late Amos and Pauline (Dickenson) Mollison. Loraine was united in marriage on May 14, 1960 to James Blair Frayer who preceded her in death on November 12, 2017. Surviving are- Two daughters, Rhonda Gould and husband Ted of Volga Cheryl Wolfe and husband Brent of Flemington Son, Gary L. Frayer and wife Karen of Moatsville Seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren Loraine was preceded in death by son, Robert A. Frayer. She retired as a cook from Barbour County Schools. Loraine was a member of the Barbour County CEOS, and also TOPS. She was an avid NASCAR fan, she enjoyed crosstitching, and Loraine never met a stranger she enjoyed socializing with everyone. She was a member of Jerusalem United Methodist Church. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday February 19, from 6-8 pm and on Thursday February 20, from 8 am- 2 pm the service hour with Rev. Jimmy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
