Edith Wanda Poling, age 84, a resident of Philippi, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020 in Barbour County Good Samaritan Center in Belington. Edith was born September 17, 1935 in Hendricks, WV a daughter of the late Bill and Bessie (Johnson) McDonald. Edith was united in marriage on December 8, 1956 to Donald Gene Poling Sr. who preceded her in death on April 11, 2011. Surviving is- Sons, Donald Gene Poling Jr. of Florida Timothy Allen Poling Sr. and wife Robin of Philippi Brothers, Ronald McDonald of Elkins Bobby McDonald and wife Donna of Beckley Sister, Gloretta McDonald Shunter and husband Chris of Fl Grandchildren, Donald Gene Poling III, Tiffany Renee Poling both of FL Great-grandchildren, Aubrey Dawn Poling, and Timberlynn Nash Poling both of Philippi Edith was preceded in death by grandson, Timothy Allen Poling, Jr., sisters, Geneva McDonald Lisner, Lola McNew/McDonald, Angel McDonald, Shirley McDonald, brothers, Harold McDonald, and Junie McDonald Edith was a homemaker. In honor of Edith request cremation will be honored.
