I felt very privileged to have gotten to know and cut Olin's hair for the last few years. He was always smiling and very kind. Always upbeat and spoke lovingly of his family. I will miss our visits. ~Barbara

Thank you, Barbara, for your kind words. I was not aware that you cut my dad's hair, but I am happy to know you had the opportunity to get to know him. I have to laugh because he often complained about his hair "flying in the wind," what little he had. I think that is why he often wore his WVU mountainer ball cap(s), which he was proud to wear, of course. ;)
Hug to you,
Rhonda

Olin and I were roommates during our freshman year in 1952 at West Virginia University. At the time, we were both in the Engineering program. Later, we each landed up in New York. I was at Union Theological Seminary preparing for Ministry; and he was working on Long Island. We had a phone conversation but never managed to get together...He was a person of quiet humor, dependable, and easy to like. I grieve the passing of a friend and a fellow Mountaineer....James Daugherty, St. Louis, MO

Thank you, Mr. Daugherty, for taking the time to post your thoughts and memories. It's good to know that you had memorable experiences with my dad. He has spoken so fondly of his time at WVU and the many friendships he formed there. He was a wonderful, loving father and a warm and caring friend to many. Thank you for the time you spent with him, and for being a caring friend and positive influence in his life. And, yes, he was a Mountaineer for life! ;)
Hug to you,
Rhonda

I will forever cherish the time that Olin and I were able to spend together, usually working on one project or another. I could not have had better in-laws and always knew that Jesus was a constant presence in Olin's life. My deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with all the family during this time.

Dear Family,
Uncle Olin will always be a fond memory of my childhood. I loved visiting with Grandma & Granddad Campbell on their farm, precious memories how they linger. During this time may you find solace in all your precious memories of him.

Thank you, Norma Jean. Many of us have such fond memories of visiting Grandma and Grandpa on their farm, along with extended family. Your mom and dad were precious, too, and I always enjoyed stopping and visiting with them anytime I was in Philippi. They were always so welcoming. I hope you have found peace and comfort in your precious memories with Sonia. Children are a gift for as long as we are privileged to have them.
With love and hugs to you and Chuck,
Rhonda
