Dear Randy: Your mother was a dear friend to me over the years and I will miss her terribly. I ate many a spaghetti dinner and drank many cups of coffee at her kitchen table while we hashed out life and problems and people bothering us. She always asked about my sister Melanie's health because she knew it hurt me that she was confined to a nursing home for years and at Melanie's funeral she came and hugged me immediately just to let me know she cared. She never forgot my birthday and I got a card every year at Christmas from her. She was a people person and loved visiting with her friends and family. This last year was so hard on her because she was so isolated out there on the farm trying to stay away from this horrible virus. We could only visit by phone and she made sure she called and checked on me. I will always treasure the fact that she treated me like a sister and one of her family. Her life was worthwhile and she will leave a big void in all of our hearts...Love to you and Elaine at this difficult time. Melissa
