Jimmy Lee Ratliff, age 79, a resident of Philippi, passed away Sunday May 10, 2021 in the United Hospital Center. Jimmy was born March 17, 1942, in Braxton County, a son of the late Daisel Ratliff. Surviving is- Former wife Loretta (Jones) Ratliff Son, James Ratliff of OH 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren Jimmy was preceded in death by companion, Zelma Upton; brothers, Ted and Bobby Ratliff and sister Patty Puttum Jimmy retired from Republic Steel Mill as a licensed engineer. He was an avid bowler, hunter, and fisherman. He also built and owned several race cars. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday May 15, from 4-6 pm. In honor of Jimmy’s request cremation will follow.
