SERVICES HAVE BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO MS.HURST BROTHER BEING HOSPITALIZED Mary Madeline Hurst, age 87, a resident of Good Samaritan Society of Barbour County, passed away Thursday June 3, 2021 in Ruby Memorial Hospital. Mary was born in Baltimore, MD a daughter of the late James Robert Hurst and Helen Louise (Love) Nelson. Mary was united in marriage to Raymond Russell Johns who preceded her in death. Surviving is brother, Roger Hurst and wife Sue of Philippi Mary was preceded in by son, Gary Lee Johns, daughter, Teresa Louise Johns, sister, Linda Lizer, and brother Jerry Hurst Mary was a homemaker, she enjoyed watching westerns. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday June 8, from 6-8 pm and on Wednesday June 9, from 8 am- 2 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in Mary’s Chapel Cemetery.
