Cherie Lea Weaver, age 54, a resident of Philippi passed away Saturday July 17, 2021 at her residence. Cherie was born July 25, 1966 in Concord, CA a daughter of the late Ron Jones and Lana (Youngflesh) Lopez. Cherie was united in marriage in 2010 to Edward Weaver who survives at home. Also surviving- Daughter, Nicole Saltis and husband Steven of Philippi Step-mother, Carole Jones of Washington Sister, Julie Jones-Cracke of Austin, TX Step sister, Dianna Armstrong and John of CA Step brother, Matt Lopez of CA Uncle, Keith Youngflesh and wife Sue of San Diego, CA Cousin Lisa Youngflesh of San Diego, CA Granddaughter, Renlea Saltis In addition to her parents Cherie was also preceded in death by step father, Ken Lopez. Cherie worked as a Beautician and was the owner/operator of Cherie’s Shear Designs; she loved her job and especially her clients that she served. Cherie loved reading, working puzzles, hiking the mountains, and going to the beach. Cherie enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter and family. She enjoyed life and lived her life to the fullest, she was always active. Cherie was attended the Horizon’s Church. In honor of Cherie’s request cremation will be honored. A celebration of Life service will be held at Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday July 23, friends will be received from 5-7 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7 pm with Pastor Jeff Burnett officiating. The family ask for no flowers, in place of flowers they could like a card with a special memory or story of Cherie. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to a charity of your choice.
