Loretta Gay Trader, age 78, a resident of Mansfield Place of Broaddus Hospital for the past 6 years and a former resident of Flemington, passed away Friday August 27, 2021. Loretta was born October 10, 1942 in Barbour County, a daughter of the late Rev. Leon Pyle and Hazel Virginia (Adams) Pyle. Loretta was united in marriage on June 11, 1960 to Leonard Trader who survives at home. Also surviving are- Daughters, Cindy Smith and husband Steven of Rosemont Tena Haddix and husband Thomas of Philippi Son, Paul Trader of Flemington Grandchildren, Tara Sinsel and companion Bon Sinsel of Rosemont, Alyssa Smith and companion Robert Buffy of Bridgeport, Tessa Haddix and companion Allen VanPelt of Elkins, Tiffany Helke and husband Thomas of Grafton Great-grandchildren, Marissa Burton, and Landon Smith both of Rosemont Sisters, Ada Mae Anglin of Youngstown, OH Augie Gray of Youngstown, Oh Brothers, Virgil Pyle of Flemington Goldie Pyle and wife Debbie of Flemington Rob Pyle and wife Ruby of Flemington Several nieces and nephews Loretta was preceded in death by son Leonard Trader, grandson Christopher Burton, brother Marvin Pyle, and sister Blanche Shaffer Loretta worked as a caregiver for Barbour County Senior Center, she loved tending to flowers and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Monday August 30, from 2-4 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 pm with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Flemington I.O.O.F Cemetery.
