Lori Jean Helmick, age 63, a resident of Moatsville passed away Thursday October 28, 2021 in Ruby Memorial Hospital. Lori was born June 29, 1958 in Gary Indiana, a daughter of the late Jack Stafford, step father, Thomas Whiteman, and mother Delores (Thompson) Whiteman who survives in Laporte Indiana. Lori was united in marriage on August 10, 2006 to Luther “Randy” Helmick who survives at home. Also surviving Sons, Timmy Roop of Valparaiso, Indiana Brad Roop of Valparaiso, Indiana Randall Helmick of Moatsville Sisters, Cindy Manzo and husband Raul of Holbert, Indiana Pam Malott and husband Brian of Laporte, Indiana Jill Stafford of Portage, Indiana Sally Lummus and husband JT of Houston, TX Brother, Terry Stafford and wife Maryland of Lowe, Indiana Step brother, Scott Stafford Three grandchildren, Brandon Dereamer, Chloe Gosvener, Samantha Gosvener Lori was preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law, Pat Aderholt and husband Vern Lori was a homemaker, she enjoyed listening to country and Christian music, and she liked to go shopping and was a hat collector. Lori enjoyed going to dirt track races, she was an avid WVU football, and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Her favorite color was purple, and her favorite cartoon character was tweedy bird. She enjoyed cooking, and enjoyed going out for Chinese. Lori was a jokester with a wonderful sense of humor. She would help anyone in need when she could. Lori attended the Shiloh Church of the Brethren. Cremation will be honored, and no services are scheduled at this time.
