Lenwood Dale Bolyard, age 81, a resident of Philippi, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday November 23, 2021. Lenwood was born September 20, 1940 in Barbour County, a son of the late Boyd and Edna (Haller) Bolyard. Lenwood was united in marriage on June 21, 1958 to Joan (Poling) Bolyard who survives at home. Also surviving- Son, David Lynn Bolyard and wife Cheri of Philippi Daughters, Deborah Jo Bolyard of Philippi Penny Streets and husband Lynn of Philippi Amy Ramos and husband Scott of Wheeling Grandchildren, Chris Bolyard and wife Charity, Jessica Willis and husband James, Troy Smith, Casey Stemple, Ashley Guire, Amanda Daugherty, Cassandra Guire, Caleb and Alaina Ramos 15 great-grandchildren Sister, Diann Bartlett and husband Charles “Chuck” of Grafton Lenwood was preceded in death by grandson, Chad Smith; sisters, Delores Pearl Bolyard and Patricia Nestor Lenwood worked for Kimberly Coal Mines, King Knob Coal Company, Grafton Coal, and Kelso Coal Mines as a heavy equipment operator and miner. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed watching sports especially the WVU Mountaineer, Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. His family meant a lot to him and loved them very much. Lenwood was a member of the Central Chapel United Methodist Church, and had great love for Jesus. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday November 26, from 6-8 pm and on Saturday November 27, from 8 am- 2 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm with Rev. Tammy Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Central Chapel Cemetery.
