Samuel Lee Vance age 80 a resident of Maple Ave. Philippi passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 in the Genesis Center, New Martinsville WV. He was born January 27, 1941 in Kanawha County a son of the late Samuel and Magdaline Young. Surviving is

Samuel was preceded in death by his companion Luray Miller Collins, wives Audrey M. (Billiter) Vance, and Donna Vance, one brother Samuel Ray Vance, and one sister.
Samuel served in the US Army, he was a member of the American Legion Post in Charleston, and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, working of vehicles, lawnmowers and anything mechanical. He enjoyed reading, watching westerns, dancing, listening to older country music, he loved horses, his family and kids. Samuel enjoyed walking, he never knew a stranger and would help anyone in need. Samuels would always say at dinner no meal was complete unless you have green beans.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday January 22, from 2-3 pm. In honor on Samuel’s request cremation will follow the services.
