David , Donnie, Ronnie, Charles and Eugene and your families this is your cousin Erma, Atha Funk's daughter. I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of your Father It was always a pleasure to visit with your Dad and David and chat for a while when we, my sister Mary and I, drove in from Ohio to put flowers on family member's graves at Mt. Morris. No matter what the age of the loved one, when they leave this world an empty place is left in our hearts and lives. They are gone but not forgotten as we'll always remember them as well as miss them. My husband, Dave, and I went to High School with your Mom. From a kid up I have many pleasant memories of spending time on the farm there, visiting Junior and David in later years, him showing us his cows and farm machinery which I always enjoyed as I love the farm and farm animals. Your Dad was a soft spoken and very special man that had a lot of love and kindness in his heart, a laugh and smile that brightened your day and left you with a feeling of 'I'm so glad I stopped to visit with him and David." Losing a parent leaves an empty place in your heart, but God in His mercy offers comfort with the promise of Eternal Life through Jesus Christ and one day you will have a joyous reunion in Heaven with your loved ones who have trusted Christ as Savior if you also have put your trust in Christ as your Savior.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
We grieve but not as those that have no hope. May God wrap His arms of Love around each of you and comfort you as only He can. I regret that I will not be able to attend your Dad's funeral and personally extend my deepest sympathy to each of you. Sending hugs and prayers and keeping each of you in my thoughts. Deepest Sympathy
