Wilda Belle Lanham, age 79, of Flemington, WV and more recently of Mansfield Place, in Philippi departed this life on Tuesday February 15, 2022. Wilda was born November 26, 1942, a daughter of the late Clayton and Flora (Anderson) Fridley. She was united in marriage on September 28, 1963 to Carl D. Lanham who preceded her in death on September 6, 2008. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, George W. Fridley and James R. Fridley. Wilda leaves behind nieces and nephews, Tammy Fridley of Philippi, Brenda Richard and husband David of Belington, George Fridley and wife Christine of Moatsville, Justin Fridley and wife Kristal, Melissa Fridley all of Morgantown and several great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Danny Boy whom she adored. Wilda attended Grafton Baptist Church in Grafton, WV. She enjoyed collecting various things. She was the family historian and all those who knew her loved listening to her stories. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday February 17, from 6-8 pm and on Friday February 18, from 10am- 12 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 pm with Rev. Don Harward officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
