Janie Lee Hunt, age 69, a resident of Philippi, passed away Thursday February 24, 2022 in Ruby Memorial Hospital. Janie was born November 1, 1952 in Grafton, WV a daughter of the late Gerald Loar and Mildred (Brown) Kirby. Janie is survived by her companion of 26 years Chris Bennett, children, Robert Lee Hunt Jr. and wife Missy of Grafton, Teresa Prince and husband Stephen of Morgantown, grandchildren, Aleshia and Shawn Hunt, Timothy and Krystal Johnson, and six great grandchildren. Janie was preceded in death by two siblings. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, and watching movies. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Monday February 28, from 12- 1pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm with Pastor Candy Drainer officiating. Interment will follow in the Barbour Memorial Cemetery.
