Ruth Delaney age 87 a resident of Mansfield Place and a former resident of Galloway passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 29, 2014 with her family by her side. She was born September 9, 1926 in Randolph County, a daughter of Dayton and Verna (Rexroad) White. She was united in marriage to Walter Delaney who preceded her in death on November 18, 2000. Survivors include three daughters, Annette McDaniel of St. Cloud, FL; Dottie Amtey of Cary, NC and Gloria Conklin of Clarksville, PA 13 Grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren One sister, Dorothy Simpson of Parsons Good friend and sister-in-law, Totty Delaney She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Davis; one son, Walter Delaney, Jr. and one granddaughter, Usha Amtey. She was a member of the Galloway Senior Citizens and Galloway Methodist Church. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. the funeral hour with Pastor Jessie Shaw officiating. Interment will follow in the Flemington I.O.O.F Cemetery.
