Obituary of Guyanita Bennett

Guyanita Maritza (Boyles) Bennett age 90 a resident of Baughman Towers, Philippi passed away Saturday October 10, 2009 at the home of her niece in Philippi, Melodie Daugherty. She was born April 11, 1919 in Philippi a daughter of the late Guy C. and Lillian Anita ( Zollinger) Boyles. She was united in marriage October 2, 1944 to Darl Bennett who preceded her in death in 1982. Surviving is; one niece; Melodie and husband Stan Daugherty of Philippi three nephews; Tommy Boyles Keith Boyles of MA Dennis Boyles of WV five great nephews; Rick Daugherty of Philippi Eric Daugherty of Holiday, FL Raymond Foster of Port Richey, FL Chris Pisino DJ Pisino both of WV one niece; Pamela Newton of Mansfield, OH several nieces and nephews Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by one sister; Luwana Bartlett, two brothers; Thomas "Bud" Boyles and Richard "Dick" Boyles, two nieces Linda Harris, and Ganice Pisino, and nephew Daniel Hartman. Mrs. Bennett worked as a Midwife for the Myers Clinic around 1943 and also worked in the Barbour County Clerk's Office, and while residing in New Symrna Beach, FL she worked in an Arts and Crafts Store. She graduated from Philippi High School in 1938 and was a member of the Main St. Methodist Church since September 1929. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday October 13, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Downing Gregory officiating. Wright Funeral Home Services.
