Betty Marie Weekley age 62 a resident of Rt. 2 Philippi passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2009 in United Hospital Center. She was born in Mt. Clare, WV a daughter of the late Thomas Ruble and Abbie Virginia (Sprouse) Weekley. Surviving are: Two Sisters; Mary Ellen Weekley Annabelle Yocum, both of Philippi One Brother; Hollis M. Weekley of Bellaire, OH Ms. Weekley was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul Franklin Weekley, Rubel Leon Weekley, John E. Weekley, and Jack J. Weekley. She was a Registered Nurse for Broaddus Hospital for 20 years and Director of Nursing for 15 years for Taylor Co. Home Health. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a graduate of Philip Barbour Class of 1965 and graduate of D &E College. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Sunday, January 3, 2010 from 3-8:00 p.m. and on Monday, January 4, 2010 from 8-10:00 a.m. the service hour with President Chad Plymale conducting and President Stephen Johns presiding. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Mt. Clare.
