Norma Jean Mitchell age 84 a resident of Mansfield Place and former resident of the Ford Run Community passed away Thursday, November 05, 2015. She was born March 12, 1931 in Barbour Co. a daughter of Lon and Blanche E. (McDaniel) Upton. She was united in marriage March 12, 1961 to Walter G. Mitchell who preceded her in death June 20, 1981. Surviving are- Several nieces and nephews and several great- nieces and nephews One brother, Frank Upton and wife Georgia of Willowick, OH Ms. Mitchell was preceded in death by 12 siblings, Thomas Lee Upton; Willard Upton; Lon E. Upton; Aira D. Upton; Francise V. Upton; Wilbert Upton; Robert Upton; Martha Melinda Sandridge; Dorsey Upton; Dever Upton; Evelyn Nestor and Lorraine Mitchell She was a homemaker, loved her family and neighbors and caring for them. She attended Ford Run Pentecostal Church Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 5-8 pm and on Saturday, November 7 from 8am-1pm the service hour with Rev. David Brown officiating.
