Life Legacy Paulette C. Moats, age 72, a resident of Silent Grove Rd. passed away Thursday March 17, 2016 in Broaddus Hospital. She was born July 5, 1943 in Philippi a daughter of the late Herbert and Eula “Boots” (Kerr) Bowers. Surviving is Daughter; Paula Cross and husband Tom Sister; Janet Shaffer and husband Robert Brother; Leroy Bowers and wife Judy Grandson; Lukus Freeman Nieces; Nikki Bowers Shelli Gray and husband Rob all of Philippi Nephews Jeremy Shaffer and wife Kimberly of Fort Mill SC. Jason Shaffer and wife Katie of Manchester, MD Several great nieces and nephews Paulette worked at Southern States, Philippi Inn, and GC Murphy’s, before becoming owner of Odds N Ends Craft Shop, she was an avid crafter and loved to travel with her grandson. Paulette was a Methodist by faith and a member of the Crim Memorial United Methodist Church, she aslo attended Silent Grove Church. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday March 19, from 3-8 pm and on Sunday March 20, from 8 am- 2 pm the service hour with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
