Martha Mary Knotts, age 75, a resident of Rt. 2 Philippi passed away Tuesday March 9, 2010 at her residence. She was born July 21, 1934 in Oakland MD. a daughter of the late Charles Thomas and Atha Alberta (Shrock) Wilson. She was united in marriage June 18, 1951 to William Harrison Knotts who preceded her in death November 20, 1996. Surviving are Six daughters; Patricia Hansen of Philippi Sue England of Grafton Fay and husband Charlie Crim Rebecca Knotts Tina Knotts Mary Knotts all of Philippi Three sons; William A. Knotts of Clarksburg James and wife Brenda Knotts of Beverly Thomas Knotts of Philippi One brother; William Wilson of Brunswick, OH 19 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren Mrs. Knotts was preceded in death by one son; Richard Knotts, one daughter Rosie Knotts, three brothers, two sisters. Mrs. Knotts was a homemaker and enjoyed listening to music. She was a member of the Ford Run Pentecostal Church. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday March 11, from 5-8 p.m. and on Friday March 12, from 8-11 a.m. the service hour with Rev. David Brown officiating. Interment will be in the Campground Cemetery in Preston County.
