Obituary of Charles Malcolm
Life Legacy
Charles Ray Malcolm, age 85, resident of Buckhannon passed away Tuesday June 7, 2016 at his residence. He was born May 17, 1931 on Monongah, WV a son of the late Alnzo Lee and Madge (Wetzel) Malcolm. He was united in marriage on July 20, 1955 to Elizabeth A. (Phillips) Malcolm who survives at home. Also surviving

Six grandchildren; Jai Kaopuiki, Reanna Kaopuiki, Mauri Kaopuiki-Burback, Chan Kaopuiki, Sarah Booth, Brogan Malcolm
Two great grandchildren; Malcolm Kaopuiki, and Wyan Thill
Charles was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters; Arley Lee Malcolm, Irvin Bud Malcolm, Mary Murphy and Betty Maditz.
He retired from Corhart Refractories Co. in Buckhannon as a maintenance man, and also had worked at Tuckahoe Mines in Century
Charles served in the US Army from 1952-54 during the Korean War. He served as vice- president of United Brick and Clay Workers; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and traveling. Charles also liked working on antique cars; he was a protestant by faith.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday June 8, from 4-8 pm and on Thursday June 9, from 8 – 11 am the service hour with Pastor Jerry Murrell and Rev. Fr. Joe McLaughlin officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery with Military honors being accorded.
