Pearl June (Dent) Marks, age 91, a resident of S. Walnut St. Philippi passed away Tuesday September 27, 2016 in Mansfield Place of Broaddus Hospital. She was born February 19, 1925 in Alexandria, VA a daughter of the late Edgar M. and Ogie M. (Moore) Dent. Pearl was united in marriage to her husband of 70 years Aaron Blair Marks on June 14, 1946 who survives at home. Also surviving Three daughters; Laura June Pitzer and husband Edward of Chambersburg, PA Elda Jean Outman of Jacksonville, Fl Lois Jane McBee and late husband Gordon of Philippi Seven grandchildren; Elizabeth J. Johnson of PA, Cynthia D. Ray and husband Charles of PA, Katherine J. Carbaugh and husband David of PA, Melissa J. Zilcosky of TN, Aaron L. Outman and wife Tiffany of FL., Chasity C. McBee-Musgrove and husband Matthew of WV, Dr. Krstal K. Thompson and husband Ron of WV 17 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and four sisters. She worked at Alderson Broaddus College as a Copy Room Administrator. Pearl was a member of the Philippi Chapter #41 Oder of Eastern Star, and the Philippi Baptist Church. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday September 30, from 2-8 pm the Order of Eastern Star conducting services at 7 pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday October 1, from 8 am – 12 pm the service hour with Rev. Jon Villers officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
