Gary Stephen Salter, age 71, a resident of Glade Ave. Philippi, passed away Sunday September 25, 2016 in Nella’s Nursing Home in Elkins. He was born September 4, 1945on Boston, MA. He was united in marriage to his wife of 38 years Jasmine (Sadowskis) Salter who survives at home. Also surviving; Four children; Shannon Mayle of Philippi Jennifer Crim of Elkins Brandy Ann Salter of Philippi Gary Salter Jr. of Houston, TX One brother; Jimmy Salter of Vermont 10 grandchildren Mr. Salter was preceded in death by brother, Larry Salter. He worked as a mechanic for College Park Paving. He served in the US Marines and Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Salters request for cremation was honored.
