Martha Diane (Adams) Krell, age 52, a resident of Ivy Rd. Belington, passed away Friday October 7, 2016 in Davis Medical Center, in Elkins, WV after a two year battle with breast cancer. She was born May 6, 1964 in Philippi a daughter of John R. and Martha (Gribble) Adams who survive at Nestorville. She was united in marriage to her loving husband Jeffrey Krell who survives at home. Also surviving Step son; Sean Krell and girlfriend Anna of Los Angeles Step daughter; Shannon Krell Tosounian and husband Andrew of Philadelphia, PA Special uncle; Paul D. Adams of Nestorville Special cousin; Stephen “Harry” Marsh and wife Annie of Belington, as well as numerous member of her extended family. Diane is also survived by a multitude of friends, co-workers and people she genuinely loved and who loved her in return. She was preceded in death by her brother Jerry L. Gribble Diane was currently employed by Wal-Mart in Buckhannon and had been for 14 years. She was previously employed by Rite Aid as well as Bank One both in Philippi. Diane grew up in Valley Furnace on her family’s farm, and was known be her family and friends as “The Hippy”. She attended Philip Barbour High School and graduated in 1982. She joined New Hope Methodist Church in Valley Furnace in March of 2016. Diane loved her cats and photography. She was called upon frequently to photograph many weddings, high school senior photos, family phots and other events. Over the years, many of her photographs have won 1st and 2nd place ribbons at the Barbour County Fair. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday October 11, from 3-8 pm and on Wednesday October 12, from 8- 11 am the service hour with Pastor Gina Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in the Nestorville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Diane’s name to one of the following organizations; The American Cancer Society, 122 South High St. Morgantown, WV 26501, or Animal Friends of Barbour County, PO Box 452, Philippi, WV 26416.
