Wilma Deloras Moats, age 82, a resident of Lakeland FL. and a former resident of Moatsville, passed unexpectedly on Friday November 4, 2016 at her residence in Florida. She was born April 25, 1934 in Tucker Co. a daughter of the late Lloyd and Dakota (Miller) Severe. She was united in marriage on August 19, 1952 to Burlen L. Moats who preceded her in death on August 25, 1992. Surviving is; One daughter; Donna G. Pennington and companion Michael Roy of Moatsville One son; Donald L. Moats and wife Mary Lea of Moatsville One sister; Geraldine Morris of Lakeland FL. One brother; Kenneth Severe of Moatsville Six grandchildren; Angie Moats of Moatsville, Justin A. Pennington of Philippi, Ciera Nicole Pennington of Chrleston, Katara L. Pennington of Buckhannon, Shania D. Pennington of Elkins, Ciera Dawn Roy of PA. Four great-grandchildren; Sophia Pennington, Peyton Goyla, GiaVonna Williams, Connor LeRoy Wilma was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Severe. She was a homemaker, and was an avid quilt maker, she enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday November 11, from 5-8 pm and on Saturday November 12, from 8 am – 12 pm the service hour with Rev. Rick Owens officiating.
