Ruth was my girlhood friend. We met at the start of our Freshman year at Belington High School. We were firm friends all those years of schooling right up to graduation in 1950. From there we took different paths as my family moved to Florida and she remained in Belington, got married and raised a family. We kept in touch all those years right up until a few days ago when she sent me an email, one of her usual cheery and chatty ones. I am going to miss those emails very much. We kept track of things and even exchanged recipes of things we had made. She was a good Christian woman who loved her family and her dog Bunny. I am blessed to have had her for a friend.
