Barbara Ann Gillespie age 89 a resident of Mansfield Place and former resident of 204 Greenbrier Dr. Buckhannon passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017. She was born August 6, 1927 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Eber and Lillian Bowles. She was united in marriage on September 10, 1974 to Delbert Gillespie who preceded her in death. Surviving is- One daughter, Kelly Bracey and husband Jud of Philippi Two sons, David Bess and wife Cyndi of Morgantown, WV Robin Bess and wife Amy of Russell, KY One Step-son, Rick Gillespie and wife Debra of Franklin, WV One sister, Judi Funk of Philippi Grandchildren, Katie and Riley Bess of Russell, KY, Lindsay and husband Jeremiah Goudy of Philippi and step-grandchild, Ryan Gillespie of Morgantown, WV Ms. Gillespie was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Jean Digman Ms. Gillespie’s wish for cremation was honored. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on August 5, 2017 at Philippi Baptist Church with Pastor Jon Villers officiating.
