Jonathan Matthew Knotts II, age 19, a resident of Philippi and a student of Glenville State College passed away Thursday August 24, 2017 in Glenville, WV from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born December 11, 1997 in Clarksburg, WV a son of Matt and Carla (Triplett) Knotts who survive in Philippi. Also surviving- Grandparents Linda Triplett of Moatsville Etta Knotts of Philippi Bill Knotts of Clarksburg Great-Grandmother, June Marsh of Moatsville Sisters, Elizabeth Crites and fiancé Jacob Willard of Philippi Jessica Crites of Philippi Emily Ramsey and husband Zach of Elk City Jennifer Triplett of Philippi Nikki Knotts of Philippi Sierra Mauller and fiancé Tyler Summerfield of Philippi Nikkia Howel and fiancé Hunter Weese of Belington Desiree and Destini Knotts of Philippi Brothers, Justin Crites and wife Jenny of Philippi Sheldon Knotts Isaac Perine Connor Perine Kevin Knotts all of Philippi Nieces, Gracelyn Crites, Emma Ramsey, Ella Ramsey, Natalie Triplett all of Philippi Nephews, Trace Crites, Tate Crites, and baby Elijah on the way Jonathan was a sophomore at Glenville State College majoring in Science Education and Sports Management. Jonathan was a student assistant for the Glenville State Football Team. He loved sports and had planned to pursue a coaching career. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday August 26, from 2-8 pm and again on Sunday from 8 am – 2 pm the service hour with Speaker Tim Ramsey officiating. In honor of Jonathan’s wishes cremation will be honored.
