Loueda Grace (Burner) Shockey Shaffer, age 80, died August 26, 2017 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Belington, WV. She was born May 23, 1937 in Philippi a daughter of the late Olen and Virginia (Bolyard) Burner. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Shockey in 1984, infant sons, Gary Darl Shockey and Douglas John Shockey, and brother Olen Jr. (Bud) Burner. She was a loving and devoted mother to son Greg Shockey who survives in Philippi. She is also survived by one brother, Adrian Burner and wife Kay of Philippi, three sisters, Lorraine Allison of Pickerington, OH, Karen Coffman and husband Gary of Olathe, KS, and Lora Ervin and husband Roger of Philippi. Loueda's request for cremation will be honored Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday August 29, from 4-8 pm and on Wednesday August 30, from 12-2 pm the service hour with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating.
