Raymond Douglas Rupe, age 61, a resident of Good Samaritan Society of Barbour County passed away Sunday November 21, 2010 in the Davis Memorial Hospital. He was born February 16, 1949 in Virginia a son of the late Edith K. (Spaur) Rupe who preceded him in death on February 24, 2005. Surviving is caregivers: Wilma Burr of Belington, and Melissa Barb of Junior Canine companion Little Bear, and friends from Barbour Co. Good Samaritan and Laurel View Apartments. Raymond worked as a Security Officer at WVU in the 1970's. He liked to go fishing, shopping, traveling, making crafts and assembling model cars. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday November 24, from 1-3 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Silent Grove Cemetery.
