Frankie L. Runion age 93 a resident of Mansfield Place and a former resident of Baughman Towers passed away Friday April 3, 2009 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born April 6, 1915 in Barbour County a daughter of the late Burlin White and Emily Rovella (Phillips) Phillips. She was united in marriage April 24, 1937 to Howard A. Runion who preceded her in death July 2, 1978. Surviving are: Two Sons: David and wife Marilyn Runion, Philippi Jimmy Runion, Philippi Two Grandchildren: Christopher and wife Stephanie Runion, Philippi Kelly Runion, Radford, VA Several nieces and nephews Mrs. Runion was preceded in death by one infant daughter, She was the last surviving member of her family, being preceded in death by four brothers, Hayward, Homer, Harry and Harold Phillips; and six sisters, Elva Schoonover, Leona Moore, Dorothy McDaniels, Lorea Cleavenger, Delta Maxine Phillips and Evelyn Mardell Phillips. She was a member of the Philippi Baptist Church, Philippi OES Chapter #44. She worked in the laundry department at Myers Clinic and Broaddus Hospital. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Monday April 6 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. The Philippi OES Chapter #44 will conduct services at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Visitation will resume on Tuesday April 7, 2009 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. the service hour with Rev. Don Walls officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
