Obituary of Frank Calvert
Frank M. Calvert, age 80, a resident of Buckhannon Rd. Philippi passed away Tuesday December 17, 2013 at his residence. He was born April 29, 1933 in Parsons, WV a son of the late James Gordon and Ella Mae (Turner) Calvert. Frank was united marriage on June 1, 1958 to Jean Elizabeth (Matthew) who survives at home.

Naral Hotsinpiller of Elkins
One brother; James Calvert of Parsons
He was a graduate from Parsons High School class of 1952. He worked clearing power lines for his uncle in New Jersey till he was drafted into the US Army on May 20, 1953 and serving until May 19, 1955.
He worked as a meat cutter in Parsons before moving to Philippi to work as meat manager for Nestor’s Key Market. Frank later worked for a short period of time at Philippi IGA as manager of the meat department. He worked for several different mines for over 20 years, and retired from Kitt Energy in Philippi. Frank was a 50 year member of the Bigelow Lodge # 52 AF & AM. He and his wife spent several winters in Florida before deciding it was time to be in West Virginia fulltime. He always said he had some West Virginia dirt on his feet.
Frank’s request for cremation will be honored.
