Steven Frederick Daugherty age 26, a resident of Wabash Ave. Philippi passed away Tuesday April 14, 2009 at Broaddus Hospital. He was born December 2, 1982 in Elkins a son of Frederick Steven and Veda B. (Boylen) Daugherty and stepmother Carmen Daugherty who survives. Also surviving is; Two sisters: Dr. Stacey Marie Woods of Fairmont, WV LaDonna R. and husband Adam A. Dutton of Winchester, VA Two step-brothers: Kenny L. and Kevin L. Carder of Philippi Grandmother: Aretta Tucker of Grafton, WV Two nephews: Tyler Alan Woods of Fairmont, WV Jackson David Dutton of Winchester, VA Steven was preceded in death by his grandparents; Boyce and Phyllis Daugherty of Philippi, and Frank Boylen of Charleston. Steven loved bowling, fishing, playing pool, listening to Bob Dylan, and watching his favorite team the Red Sox play. He attended the Faith Way Baptist Church, and was on the Dean's List while attending Fairmont State College. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi, WV on Saturday April 18 from 11:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m. the service hour with Rev. Downing Gregory officiating.
