Carol Virginia Holbert, age 92, a resident of Mt. Liberty Community passed away Saturday November 4, 2017 in the University of Maryland Charles Medical Center. She was born December 1, 1924 in Barbour Co. a daughter of the late Vern and Icie (Bennett) Corley. Carol was united in marriage on September 30, 1942 to Herbert Holbert who preceded her in death on February 20, 2014. Surviving-

Carol was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. She had worked as a nurse for Coshocton Memorial Hospital in Ohio. Carol was a member of the American Legion Post #44 Ladies Auxiliary, James Barbour Chapter DAR, and the Barbour Church of Christ.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday November 7, from 5-8 pm and on Wednesday November 8, from 8-11:30 am the service hour with Evangelist Stan Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the WV National Cemetery.
