Obituary of John Edwin Price, Sr.
John Edwin Price, Sr., age 84, a resident of Morgantown Pike, Moatsville, passed away Wednesday December 13, 2017 in Ruby Memorial Hospital. John was born November 2, 1933 in Moatsville, a son of the late Clarence “Shorty” and Della (Cline) Price. He was united in marriage to his loving wife of 59 years Idola Dean (Marsh) Price who preceded him in death on July 23, 2014. Surviving is-

John was preceded in death by daughter Penny Lou Price, son, John Edwin Price, Jr., brothers, Robert “Bob”, Bill, Burl, Arnold, and Calvin Price; sisters, Ina Grace Freeman, and Dorothy Godwin.
John retired from Carrlowrey Glass Company in Baltimore, MD as a mechanic. He served in the US Navy from 1955-1957, John loved to garden and fish, but most of all he loved to spend time with his grandson. John attended the Shiloh of the Brethren Church.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Monday December 18, from 12-2 pm the service hour with Rev. Jimmy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Nestorville Cemetery with military honors being accorded.
