Obituary of Timmy Allen Wilson
Tim Wilson passed away at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh on March 22, 2018 at the age of 60.
Tim was born in Philippi, West Virginia on January 2, 1958 to Junior Elliott Wilson(deceased) and Goldia Marie Auvil Wilson (deceased). Tim graduated from Philip Barbour High School in 1976.
Tim is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joyce Wilson. They were married at Shiloh Church on July 29, 1977. They had two daughters Emily and husband Adam Starks, and Erin and husband Tim Friez; four grandchildren Jayden, Isaiah, Susannah and Lily; a special nephew and favorite hunting buddy, Elijah Heater; one brother Gale and wife Janet Wilson, and three sisters Helen and husband Bill(deceased) Mouser, Kathy and husband David Hoffman, and Dorcas and husband Larry Moore; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Tim was baptized and a member of the Shiloh Church of the Brethren. He loved his family and was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Tim enjoyed hunting and loved spending time in the woods. He also enjoyed music, writing songs, and played several instruments. He loved working with wood and building things.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday March 27, from 5-8 pm and on Wednesday March 28, from 8 -11 am. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am with Pastor Lester Lind officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
