Obituary of Dottie Lou Miner

Dottie Lou Miner, age 77, a resident of Philippi, passed away Tuesday October 23, 2018 in the United Hospital Center.  Dottie was born October 4, 1941 in Barbour Co. a daughter of the late Shirley and Ruby (Croston) Collins.  Dottie was united in marriage on May 12, 1963 to Rev. Winfield Scott Miner who preceded her in death on February 13, 2017.  Surviving is

Grandchildren, Jr. Dale Collins, Ashley Foltz, Jaimie Walter, Coty and Joshua Dalton

Great-grandchildren, Brianna and Brayson Beavers, Asher Walter, Connor and Emberlyn Foltz, and step-great-grandson Joshua Foltz

Dottie was preceded in death by son, Issac Jr. Collins, and siblings, Sherwood and Dellett Collins

Dottie was a homemaker, she loved gardening, and was the preacher’s wife of the Apostolic Missions of Jesus Christ Church.

Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday October 25, from 6-8 pm and on Friday October 26, from 8 am- 2 pm the service hour with Rev. Menelus Mayle and Speaker Bill Berdine officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
