Denny Earl Holbert age 48 a resident of Rt. 2 Belington passed away Monday, August 24, 2009 in UMPC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born January 1, 1961 in Philippi, a son of the late Earl Duane and Donna Louise (Wiles) Holbert. He was formally married to Judy K. (Davis) Richmond who survives. Surviving is; Four Daughters; Sherita Cogar of Parkersburg, WV Amy and husband David Fridley of Thomas, WV Shannon Holbert and companion Anthony Johnson of Union Community, Philippi Kendra Holbert and companion Ike Teasley of Niles, OH One Son; Robert Holbert and fiancé Bethany Delich of Howland, OH Two Brothers; Lesley W. Holbert of Belleuve, NE Danny C. and wife Angie Holbert of Mt. Liberty Community, Philippi Eleven Grandchildren Mr. Holbert was preceded in death by one brother, William Holbert He retired as a coal miner for Rock Spring Development in Eastland, WV He served in the U.S. Marines He enjoyed fishing and coon hunting and was a member of Barbour Church of Christ. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday, August 27, 2009 from 5- 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, August 28 from 8:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. the service hour with Evangelist Michael Phillips officiating.
