Obituary of Reta Bell Foster
Reta Bell (McGee) Foster, age 79, a resident of Nestorville, WV passed away on Saturday June 13, 2020 at her home with family by her side after a short battle with cancer Reta was born in Berryburg on November 17, 1940 to the late Gordon McGee and Tressa (Bartlett) McGee. She attended school in Philippi and then went on to become a homemaker, always taking care of others before herself. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and planting her beautiful roses. She was a enthusiastic Nascar and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She loved to collect frogs and anything green. She was an avid bible reader and has a strong faith in God and her Pentecostal Faith.
She is survived by her husband Luther Foster of Nestorville whom she married on November 1, 1991. Also surviving are her children Daniel McDaniel, Timothy McDaniel and wife Virginia, Pamela McDaniel, Randy McDaniel, and Shelia (McDaniel) Marsh and husband Ray all of Philippi. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren Kimberly Gardner and husband Chad of Belpre, OH, Jason Lake and wife Devin of Belington, Brandy Cunningham of Nestorville, Derek McDaniel and wife Shannon of Philippi, Isaac Tingler and wife Lindsey of Morgantown, Kara McDaniel and Krista Tingler of Philippi, Krystal Snyder and husband Robert of Maryland, Nicholas Marsh and wife Brandi of Fairmont, Randy McDaniel and significant other Josie, Hunter McDaniel and Noah McDaniel all of Philippi.
13 great grandchildren, Kyler, Shane, Ian and Maddison Gardner of OH, Brianna and Bronlyn Cunningham of Nestorville, Brooklyn McDaniel, Ava Pumphrey, Destiny Hill and Laiken Drummond all of Philippi, Kaydence and Logan Snyder of MD.
Also surviving are her Sisters, Margaret McGee of Belington, Fiona June Bennett of Buckhannon, and Ann Collins of Philippi, brother Carl McGee and wife Sue of Philippi and several nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws.
Reta was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Mary Brewer and Shirley Simmons, brothers, Charles McGee, Ode McGee, Dayton McGee, Bill McGee and an infant brother, grandson Justin Marsh, daughter-in-law Rosetta “Snookie” McDaniel and first husband Ronald Fred McDaniel.

Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday June 16, from 2-8 pm and on Wednesday June 17, from 8am- 11 am. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. The family would like to extend an invitation to all following the burial to celebrate her life. Location and Time will be announced at the funeral.
