Ettie Pauline (Poe) Mitchell, age 89, a resident of Pt. Marion, PA passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 in the Morgantown Health and Rehab Center. Pauline was born September 2, 1930 in Arden, a daughter of the late Dewey and Mary Adyce (Streets) Poe. Surviving is- Daughter, Sandy (Mitchell) Hoffman of PA Son, Mickey Mitchell and wife Louella of Arden Brother, Dewey Poe Jr., and wife Beverly of Philippi Six grandchildren, seven-great grandchildren Pauline was preceded in death by son, Ralph Mitchell; brothers, Clarence Poe, Karl Poe, and sister, Betty Bussey Pauline worked at Grafton City Hospital and Broaddus Hospital in the Nursery Department, she also worked for the Taylor County Home Health. She loved kids and babysat for many families in Philippi, she enjoyed crocheting, and attended the Arden United Methodist Church. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday July 22, from 5-8 pm and on Thursday July 23, from 8am- 1 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm with Pastor Sam Haught officiating. Interment will follow in the Clemtown Cemetery.
