Elizabeth Faith Shaw, 97, a resident of Colonial Place and formerly of Hickory Corner Rd. of Philippi passed from this life Friday, August 28, 2020. Elizabeth was born March 10, 1923 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late W Ralston and Genevieve (Murphy) Shaw. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Preceding her in death was one sister, Margaret Shaw Elizabeth graduated from A-B College and was a retired school teacher of the Maryland school system. She was Catholic by Faith. She loved her cats, enjoyed nature and keeping up with the news. Elizabeth requested no viewing or public service. She requested cremation. A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
